The Wyatt turns one

After a long hiatus in writing, yes i know, i have been an awful blogger. 

But life has been like a roller coaster lately, and between being in limbo for 3 months and ending up on this place, AKA Sandhills area in NC (not pretty at all) , well blogging has not been on my to do list.

This guy

has kept me super busy!

He turned one year old today and boy did he have a busy day!

He had his 12 month check up at the doctor and had 3 different vaccinations

He objected when i told him this would happen on his birthday

But it turned out to be a great day after all with daddy and mommy 

Happy first birthday to my sweet, funny, brave, crazy, stubborn, handsome, bilingual first born Wyatt Soren Bogart, you are my everything (along with your strikingly handsome daddy ) and i cannot wait to celebrate many many more years! I love you Schatzt!

In two days lil man and myself will be on a jet plane to Madrid, and 4 days after that we will be on yet another plane to London for 3 days. Then back to Spain for another week, and will be back in NC with daddy. We will miss him tremendously, but who are we kidding, Europe Vs NC?? 

 We do feel a little guilty for leaving him behind, but he will be coming back with us in August, so no big deal! 

To finish this post , one of the videos from Wyatt's cake "ceremony", just watch and judge. It was a valuable lesson of physics and chemistry all together for Wyatt. Hot surfaces coming in close contact with your moving hand.

     

Please forgive the mess in the background, as we just got our final shipment with all our furniture and clothes and everything we had in Korea, which went to Italy, and now is finally here.

I just can never find the time to narrate my life as i used to.

Let's make a quick and brief blog about what has been going on in our busy lives :

This one is a heartbreaker, he takes most of my time :D

Then there's this other one , who takes the rest of my time and patience :P

All three of us+August = Vacation in Spain

Fun, sun and family, and wishing we stayed longer!

PS. I barely held Wyatt while i was in Spain, only for feedings, the rest of the time he was being passed around between the family, and he loooooved the attention!

Lame Blogger

I have been slacking big time on the blogging business!

Please forgive my lame and lazy ways, 

but i just had a child and he is my center of the universe :D

but to me they are all different and i can even tell how much the lil alien whom used to inhabit my belly is growing and changing by the hour!

Oh baby baby

it has been a rough 9 (but really 10) months.

It was a hard delivery too

but since June 1st, 2011 at 1615

all i can think about is you 

even with the angry faces !

8 lbs and 11 oz 21.1 inches

all to snuggle with mommy!

i promise your plump face will eventually go away 

and those old man wrinkles will too

but cant promise we will stop taking pictures of you

even when you don't look at your best :D

It will be something to embarrass you with once you grow older :D

Now get ready to learn spanish, because that is all i am going to talk to you!

We can make fun of your dad, since he cant understand us :P

How did i get so lucky!

I feel like bragging a little bit about the best guy i know

He might look intimidating and mean sometimes (although i find it quite sexy and manly ;) )

He is the sweetest ever, at least to me :D

And these past few days have been rough for me

Not only i am swamped at work because of being understaffed for the next 3 weeks, 

i've had my finals and also i have been on crutches for a week now, at 31 weeks pregnant

I have to be babied constantly because i can't really do much for myself

and when i try i am told i am the worse patient ever ;)

He is a keeper my lovah

I am ridiculously lucky

So this morning when i woke up to this in bed :

i realized, dang! i really have the best man out there!

I am going to have to step up my game when i get better, so i can spoil him a little as well!

I love you my undercover sappy bebe! <3

Chubby babies and injured ankles

I finally did it

AGAIN

I am on crutches.

It would not be such a big deal if it wasn't for the small detail of being 30 weeks pregnant!

I can barely make it 8 steps on crutches now!

It is the worse timing because for the next 3 weeks i am in charge of my office and another office, because my boss is on leave! 

And wait , it gets better! 

This is finals week! Yippee!!

Thank goodness for my lovah , he has been doing everything

even though i am the worse patient and i don't like to just sit around 

he is doing a great job at taking care of me and not letting me get in trouble.

He might look all rough and grouchy on the outside, but he is the sweetest most caring person i know!

Nursery 101

Making a nursery happen was not as hard as i thought!

I did not really have a favorite theme to use, so i thought i would first pick the bedding and then "build it around it"

Even though i am not nearly done, here are some pics of what we have so far. It turns out, it is quite fun to shop for baby decor!

choices

I never thought having a baby involved so many trivial choices, 

like picking out a nursery, or making a baby registry, or even doing research on breast pumps! BLAH!

Our poor baby does not even have a name yet, because we are just too busy planning other stuff and working and going to school, and living! 

But i think its time to pick a name

at least we do have the last name figured out :)

One thing is for sure, this boy can kick up a storm!

Last night i was lying in bed and as usual, he started kicking late at night

i looked down to my belly and i saw my belly skin moving up from the kicks,

it was absolutely disturbing!! All i could think about was the scene from the movie Aliens where the little creatures start pocking out of peoples insides!

Baby Bogart's parents need to get on the job and pick a name already! :)

The naming game!

Since we started looking at baby names, i had a head start

because i had this list from before i even met Josh with names i loved!

And there were quite a few names, for boys and girls.

We decided we were not gonna stress over it until we knew for sure the gender,

but we both loved one girl's name and we were pretty much set on using Clara Sabine if it was a girl

Of Course, too easy, we found out we are having a boy (hence the picture above)

So we are kind of lost on boys names, although we have a few we really love.

But hey, at least we picked a name for a girl, if we ever have one! so we are all set on that one :D

Right now all i know for sure is:

There will not be a Humphrey Bogart in this family!

Any ideas? :D

Choosing the one

I have been looking around for strollers, unfortunately no luck. But i remembered how much i liked my stroller i had as a child and how my sister had one too for my nieces, the same model and all.

You see, in Spain there is this brand that makes vintage carrycots and strollers

and I LOVE IT!

My sister informed me my niece's stroller and bassinet were in fab shape and it was mine if i wanted it or i could pick another one and her and brother in law would buy it for us!

Shipping could be a problem, but in my sis words :

"I will make it happen"

I knew she was my godmother for a reason :D
she is also going to be our baby's godmother
and i am godmother to both my nieces ;)
It's a vicious cycle :)

Baby Bogart LIVE!

Baby Bogart's first 3D Ultrasound on video!

Amazed by technology!

18 weeks of baking :)

Today, we went to get a 3D Ultrasound! It was amazing! At just 18 weeks, the baby is so tiny, and yet the pictures have an amazing quality!

I have an alien in my belly

It looks so comfy in there!

I really wish they would have told us for sure if it's a girl or a boy!

At first the technician said it was a girl, FOR SURE. Then 5 minutes later she said it looked like a boy, she said and pointed this is a penis, but then added that the baby was "hiding the important parts" and could not be sure and what looked like a wee wee could be something else , because the baby is still so tiny :(

So i am not gonna start buying everything pink, or blue, just yet! We will wait a couple weeks and go back :) 

The korean technician kept poking and moving my belly saying "Baby, moving, Baby moving" in a cute voice so the baby would move the way we needed him to, but no, baby Bogart kept moving the other way back and forth. 

But one thing is for sure: We counted 10 fingers and 10 toes :)

After all you have been plaguing my days for over a month now, 

don't you think it is time to move on?

I know i am quite the host

and that i have been nurturing as much as i can, due to my condition, 

but this is got to stop

The longest break

Sorry my avid readers, 

I have been ignoring the blog responsibility for quite sometime now

it turns out, 

I keep pretty busy on any given day

and have forgotten about the blog writing community

although i still read everyones blogs :)

The other day Josh took a pic of my belly, my first belly picture

and i am already showing at 13 weeks ( we think it's more than that )

On another note, 

We are trying to move to another place yay!

We want a bigger house

with 4 rooms and a lil yard 

Around June there will be a lot of traffic in the Bogart household and we need to be ready to work a mini B&B for all the visits! So excited about that! :)

So i really hope we get the house we want!

Now i have to go back to my Biology Lab class, my teacher is crazy, its like she thinks i am getting a degree on microbiology or zoology or something of that sort, since she has me writing 2 LONG essays a week, one of which has to be turned early! And 3 or 4 Lab activities! All these work for a stinking 1 credit!! Seriously?

This saturday i saw my first big project as a Programs coordinator materialized

It was a great! Everyone was dressed up as a decade of their choice 

i went for 20's

WE had a blast, and i loved dressing up!

It was a lot of hard work, but i loved it and the results were rewarding!

So i can not wait to plan the next one!

Weekend getaway

For our anniversary Josh has planned a city getaway :D

5 star hotel, with a spa ( love this part!!!)

And some shopping on the famous Dongdaemun district in Seoul!!

I am sooo excited!!

More even so because he did it all, i did not have to move a finger to plan it!

Way to go lovah!!

This weekend for me involves:

Homework

Actual paying job, which i am off the weekend, meaning i do not have to go to the office, but i am actually working on work stuff.

A 10,000 word contract translation for my sister's company ( i get paid though :) )

Hosting/planning/decorating a baby shower for my friend Karla on sunday

Cooking for the baby shower

Buying a present for the baby shower ( I know last minute! )

arrrrgggghhhhh 

oh and try to squeeze in a couple workouts!

But i LOVE being busy

even if it kills me !
