18 weeks of baking :)

Today, we went to get a 3D Ultrasound! It was amazing! At just 18 weeks, the baby is so tiny, and yet the pictures have an amazing quality!

It looks so comfy in there!

I really wish they would have told us for sure if it's a girl or a boy!

At first the technician said it was a girl, FOR SURE. Then 5 minutes later she said it looked like a boy, she said and pointed this is a penis, but then added that the baby was "hiding the important parts" and could not be sure and what looked like a wee wee could be something else , because the baby is still so tiny :(

So i am not gonna start buying everything pink, or blue, just yet! We will wait a couple weeks and go back :) 

The korean technician kept poking and moving my belly saying "Baby, moving, Baby moving" in a cute voice so the baby would move the way we needed him to, but no, baby Bogart kept moving the other way back and forth. 

But one thing is for sure: We counted 10 fingers and 10 toes :)

After all you have been plaguing my days for over a month now,

I know i am quite the host

and that i have been nurturing as much as i can, due to my condition, 

but this is got to stop

The longest break

Sorry my avid readers, 

I have been ignoring the blog responsibility for quite sometime now

it turns out, 

I keep pretty busy on any given day

and have forgotten about the blog writing community

although i still read everyones blogs :)

The other day Josh took a pic of my belly, my first belly picture

and i am already showing at 13 weeks ( we think it's more than that )

On another note, 

We are trying to move to another place yay!

We want a bigger house

with 4 rooms and a lil yard 

Around June there will be a lot of traffic in the Bogart household and we need to be ready to work a mini B&B for all the visits! So excited about that! :)

So i really hope we get the house we want!

Now i have to go back to my Biology Lab class, my teacher is crazy, its like she thinks i am getting a degree on microbiology or zoology or something of that sort, since she has me writing 2 LONG essays a week, one of which has to be turned early! And 3 or 4 Lab activities! All these work for a stinking 1 credit!! Seriously?

This saturday i saw my first big project as a Programs coordinator materialized

A Blast from the Past Decade Party!

It was a great! Everyone was dressed up as a decade of their choice 

i went for 20's

WE had a blast, and i loved dressing up!

It was a lot of hard work, but i loved it and the results were rewarding!

So i can not wait to plan the next one!

Weekend getaway

For our anniversary Josh has planned a city getaway :D

5 star hotel, with a spa ( love this part!!!)

And some shopping on the famous Dongdaemun district in Seoul!!

I am sooo excited!!

More even so because he did it all, i did not have to move a finger to plan it!

Way to go lovah!!

After not having a full schedule, now i dont even have a free weekend!

This weekend for me involves:

Homework

Actual paying job, which i am off the weekend, meaning i do not have to go to the office, but i am actually working on work stuff.

A 10,000 word contract translation for my sister's company ( i get paid though :) )

Hosting/planning/decorating a baby shower for my friend Karla on sunday

Cooking for the baby shower

Buying a present for the baby shower ( I know last minute! )

arrrrgggghhhhh 

oh and try to squeeze in a couple workouts!

But i LOVE being busy

even if it kills me !

I have been out of the blogger scene for a while now.

It had to do with my camera being sick and at the doctor.

Well i still dont have a camera back, but i have a lot of new things to share lately

the main one being

I GOT A JOB! Finally!

I am the new Programs Coordinator of USO (United Service Organization)

at Camp Humphreys , Korea!

YAY Finally after 8 months not working i get a job that i actually LOVE

and i can not believe they pay me to plan events and such! It is awesome!

My first day of work , we had a handshake tour, which basically celebrities visit soldiers and sign and take pics with them and blah

but when i left the house that morning it was all nice and smooth and straight

thank you Korea humidity for making it look like that!

anyway, it is fun working here!

We do everything for the soldiers and it feels good!

My friend Jules came to visit for 9 days in Korea! 

We had an awesome time! 

unfortunately, i have to take my cam to the camera doctor, so no pics, 

but she has like a million which i will be stealing soon and posting here

We did a lot of walking and exploring in Seoul

also here in the area

we visited the most important temple in Seoul

had our very own monk guide to show us and also had a tea ceremony and made our own paper lotus lanterns, 

that made me feel like i was back in middle school, making a project for mothers day or something like that

She is wanting to be a reporter so she video blogged everything and took a bunch of pics

i was the camera woman :D

We had a blast! 

So much that Jules tried to change her flight to stay an extra  days

but had no luck because of overbooking :(

I can not wait for my bestie to go on another adventure with me!

I hear Spain is in the horizon for next summer :D

Adventures

This weekend is gonna be fun, exciting and at the same time its gonna suck!

Fun because tonight we are going to my friends house for a graduation party

she is throwing for her hubs 

for some military school he just passed

So we are gonna grill out and what not and have a blast

Exciting because on monday, my friend Jules

is coming to Korea!!!!

Just to see me!!!!! And spend 8 days having the greatest possible, and legal adventures out there!

We are gonna go water rafting again and possibly sky diving!!! :O And of course shopping 

and to temples and to whatever we can get our hands on!

But the worse part of this weekend to come is the fact that our spare bedroom

has been acting as an storage room and we totally have to clean and clear it from junk!

Booooooo

I hate having to do that!

Rafting adventures in Korea

We went saturday to do white water rafting in the Naerincheon River in Korea

and it was AMAZING!!

It was 11 of us and we ended up divided in two groups

5 guys and 6 girls hehe

we kicked bootie

it was like we had been practicing for months 

we made a pretty awesome team

which we decided to call 

TEAM AWESOME :D

It was lots of fun

The river was super crowded with a lot of rafters

and we passed all of them

we were super loud too

singing while rowing

our guide probably took the rest of the weekend off

because we wore him off haha

The boys stayed close too

trying to sabotage us and splashing water 

so childish 

(i secretly started the splashing war)

And we even had time to take a little swim

Here it is me and Josh 

and i look like i am scared to death lol 

do not know why 

I just did not wanna touch the river bottom because i was barefoot :D 

so i piggy bagged on Josh 

The river was a little low

but we got  a couple of good rapids

Long time no see

A lot has happened lately 

and nothing as well

We have been busy but nothing super major has been going on

for example, 

i did not get that job that i really wanted :(

So to celebrate we went to a Luau party :D

me and my lovah , whom got our of the pool and did not have a towel , so he is freezing here

I finished my classes with a B in all of them, which is lame, 

considering i did not really put much into it, 

so in the next term i am aiming for all A's

The only thing that i am doing right now is work out

i have a class everyday and if i dont make it i will work out solo

I am fitting in that tiny bikini this year, no matter what it takes!!

The heat has been excruciating awful and i can not wait till the monsoon season is here so it cools down a little bit!

Also , my camera broke :( its at the camera doctor now :((((

This saturday we are going water rafting with a bunch of friends and we are super excited

i have never done it before, so i am gonna be real close to Josh, whom is some kind of an expert :) 

thats why i love him! He knows a lot of a lot of things!!

School is out!

Almost done with school till august!

Today i have my biology final and have to send my last philosophy paper

then i will be set to be free for a couple of months!

Friends and family are coming to visit so i will be busy with that and our vacation in august

Still no job, but have applied to another potential one and it is part time in a bank so that would work perfect with my school!

I do not want to get too comfortable having a sugah daddy :D 

Although Josh enjoys making jokes about it

A LOT

We are going to a  luau party tonight, so i might have some funny pics of people wearing grass skirts,

Such a good week!

Been very very lazy about blogging, i know!

Tomorrow is the day i hope to find out if i got an awesome job!

i need people to send good energy out in the universe for me! 

I only have one week left of school and then hello SUMMER!

But i still have one paper and two finals to get done! 

Luckily my lovah and I had a lot of days off to spend together

FINALLY!

We also had a great weekend with friends!

But this coming weekend will be great too

because Josh is got 4 days off again! woohoo

Too good to be true

Josh came back on thursday and that day i had a great day!

I went with two of  my girlfriends to get pampered

here is proof 

It was a lot of fun, we shopped and ended the day eating ice cream yay!

Then the day got even better when Josh came back home after being gone almost a month! 

Super yay!

We had a great time together! 

Then he got the news he had to leave from sunday through thursday to go sponsor one of his soldiers to the board. 

That was a bad day! 

but we tried to make the most out of it.

We went shopping and on an spontaneous kick i did this :D

I used to have one like 3 years ago but it closed on me :(

We also had a fab time at Buddha's birthday celebration

It turns out there is a temple like a 100 feet from my house!

My camera died on me so i could not take as many pics as i wanted

but here are a few :)

People was just dancing to the music, it was amazing

MIA

I know i have been MIA, but i have been soooo busy! studying, and playing hehe

Josh is being gone, but i am taking advantage of that and working on school as much as i can

and also playing with my girlfriends and going to the gym and all that 

He is coming back on thursday, yay

i will post plenty of pics too

I am done with my korean class for the summer, 

then i will start again in fall

and my two classes left end in june

they take up a lot of my time

but this summer i am only gonna take a research class

which is only 5 weeks long and thats it till the fall

Because this summer there are lots of things to be done

my sis is coming to Korea

so is my friend Jules :D

And my friend Anna is moving here in september

and also, our summer vacation in Spain

soooooo

call me crazy, 

but i want to enjoy it without having to worry about papers 

and homework! 

off day

Today i took a day off from studying and homework

I did all my philosophy homework for this week yesterday so i could afford to lose a day

I went shopping and exploring with my friend Bel and her husband

Poor thing did not know what he was getting into it lol

But he played along

It was a lot of fun

and we almost ended up getting umbrellas for the sun

or sunbrellas hehe

Next trip it is gonna be even better!

We found an awesome knock off purse store

Gotta love Korea!!! 

MAD

So Josh came back thursday

and just left today, sunday, again

for another 12 days! I am beyond mad

they called him and gave him ZERO notice

and there is this marriage retreat, 5 hotel star, spa, transport

ALL PAID FOR we were gonna go at the mountains 

and now, we can not go

well, he cant ;)

I might tote around one of my girlfriends and show up

So boo for this weekend

it plainly SUCKED! 

I am ready for the next one!

Big jobs

I must admit, even though i hate being away from Josh (he is at EFMB, kind of this competition for medics for 10 days) 

It has been kind of nice having ALL this time for me.

The reason or reasons?

I have been swamped! with things to do.

My classes are really time consuming. It seems like 6 hours of biology note taking lead me nowhere lately

its like i sit down at 10 am to get up 10 hours later and i still have school work to do the next day

But it has to get done, and it might kill me, but i am getting at least a B on all my classes

i want A of course, but i don't wanna jinx it lol

I had this weekend reserved to myself.I told my girls to not call me or anything 

i did not wanna get tempted to hang out with them

and i wanted to get all my class notes in order and study for a midterm this week

and then the phone call happened........

My sis called me asking me for a big favor.

One of her subordinates in the international department ( they have an engineering and architectural consulting company) 

had just fired a girl and this girl had not gotten any of her work for the past 2 weeks, no wonder she got the boot!

But they needed me to translate resumes. And they needed them by monday morning.

I said no problem, it would not be too hard.HA

HA HA HA

Engineer and architect resumes, specially the ones whom have been working for 10 plus years, are no fun.

It took me a lot of hours to translate this resumes to english, because of the technicality and the length!

I had to do all this research and it literally took me all saturday and sunday!!! It was awful!

Then talking to my sis, she said they could give me more work like that

which i am psyched about because it is perfect , to work from home. And get extra money!

Then she dropped another bomb

I have to do research in Korea for a possible project here, and i could be a liaison here!

I am just happy to be able to do this kind of jobs. i love research. and not to lie, i love the money too!

Urban feel

So on wednesday, my friends and I

ventured to Seoul taking the public transportation.

We decided NEVER to take the bus again

It takes waaay long

and the bus has this flower 80's like curtains 

that are just too tacky to stare at for an hour and a half

Plus with the train you can be there in 50 minutes sharp

with no worries about traffic

I have officially become the expert on public trans

I guided everyone through the subway

which none of us had taken in Seoul yet

and we never got lost :D

I am so proud 

here is a moment of enlightenment 

when i figured out where we were going

and i am sooo feeling the Urban vibe! 

I want to move there badly!!

After getting to this neighbourhood 

we proceeded to go to this underground galleries

to pick up costumes for belly dance class

and it was a blast!

There were literally dozens of little shops 

it was like a maze!

After that was done we went to eat chinese :D

and as a reward we ended the day with this

good and bad

We had a great saturday!

We went to stuff our faces with bibimbap

And then we strolled down downtown Pyongtaek for a while

It was fun and the day was beautiful!

But today, sunday, Josh left for 12 days :( sniff sniff

He is gonna go to this army school to get certain medical badge

And i have been alone all day

But i kept super busy 

I did all the laundry

I cleaned

I can not believe how domesticated i can be sometimes!

I also did my philosophy homework 

and right now i am about to do more homework

yipee! 

NOT

I will keep busy all this time

i have lots of studying to do 

plus my step classes

plus the belly dancing classes

plus my girlfriends whom keep me pretty busy!

Since i have been here, i have made a few good friends

One of them, Karla, she has been for a year and she know where to find everything

In as little as 3 weeks i have explored more than in 2 months. And

we always have a blast 

It is usually Mary, Karla, Bel and I

going to step class,

looking for the best place to get a facial

for very little

getting pedis and manis

I will have to post some pics on here

I am just very glad i found people

i connect with! 

And that they LOVE to be pampered :D

Baking Away

So even though i am on a super strict rutine at the gym

and i go every day, and i eat very healthy

i am on a baking kick lately

We have made a few different muffins, 

but our ultimate favorite is the tangy lemon ones

They are delicious!

Today we spent all day in Seoul, 

It was a lot of fun walking down Itaewon

It is a neighbourhood in Seoul

famous for its shopping. 

It is crazy, you can find anything brand name or not

for a lot less. Love it!

Lots of street vendors with knock off wallets and purses and what not

It also is famous for how cosmopolitan it is.

There are a ton of restaurants from all over the world.

Today we ate at an arabic one, from Dubai.

It was awesome! 

I have missed my weekly falafels.

I just had an awesome time

and it made me realize how much i love the city.

I belong there! 

And here is us taking the bus back home. Josh fell asleep

and i could not control myself :D

He is so cute!

I can not wait til next weekend. 

We are gonna go there again! 

Do some shopping hopefully!

I did not buy anything

but Josh did

And i was jealous

because i was not in the mood

but i will next week :D

"B" is for boooo

I finally got my grade on that mandatory Writing class i had to take

A Sad B. I figured i would be able to get an A

At the end, you write about whatever you want

so who is anyone to grade you on that? lol

Anyway, i guess it isnt bad for my first class 

i have taken in like a million years.

The last paper i had was an argument paper

i chose to be Pro Stem Cell research

and i won HA

Or at least my teacher said he was now on my side

I got a 90%

So why didnt you give me an A?

Now i have 3 classes left

Bio, Philosophy and Korean

I am already annoyed with people at Philosophy class

There is this one guy who has to make notes on everyones thoughts
and ask you questions about all your positions you take

and it drives me crazy

i asked him if he was the teachers assistant and if he wasnt to stop acting like he had some kind of insight on everything

i hope i scared him

I dislike him

if he is the new Descartes,

why is he taking PHI101????

I assure you i have more insight just with 3 years of it in HS

ok

im done talking about him

i just hope he fails 

muahahahahaha

Busy times

It has been a crazy past few days.

First i had to do this research paper for my writing class

It took me longer than i thought

because i decided to do it about Stem Cells.

HA, little did i know

i did not know as much as i thought about it

so that was kind of a stressful time

but i did it and it was great

Then i started my korean class

and my philosophy class

and my biology class

and going to the Step and Sculpt class

witch kicks my butt

EVERY-TIME!! no matter how ready i think i am 

Tomorrow i start a Belly Dancing class

that shall be interesting! 

And Josh is finally done with his Combative class 

that lasted two weeks. He graduated with flying colors

and only has level three left to be a master at it

although i hated the way they brought him back home every-night

No "F" in korean

I just started my korean class at the campus

and i must say i really like it.

I am tired of not being able to tell 

if a store is a bakery or a hardware store

since i cant read it!

But now,

everything has changed! YES

I can read korean now, 

so beware.

Even though i can only say a few phrases 

and single words like

cucumber, child and furniture

i am super stoked about it 

and i cant wait to learn more.

It is funny though, they dont have a letter F.

And when koreans speak english, they can barely say it.

They usually pronounce the F as a P.

Like instead of cell Fone, it sounds like cell Pone.

I find this hilarious and very cute at the same time

I have also discover the power or Step and Sculpt class

and how much a class can do for me

like make me wish to travel back in time

to the moment i decided to join the class and decide against it!

It is a really intense class, 

but it is fun and even though i walk like an 80 year old

for the following 10 hours, it is all worth it!

It is happening,  i am getting into my tiny skinny jeans in less than 8 weeks!! 

no matter what i have to do, IT IS happening!

So our furniture trip was not as fruitful as i anticipated.

But we are going somewhere else next weekend.

However , it was a good day after all.

for several reasons.

First my lover was slavering in the kitchen

Of course wearing his Alabama robe.

And he made ME this 

Delicious Blueberry Pancakes, which i had never had before!

And they were YUM YUM YUM

Then we went to Osan AF Base, in Songtan

And found this lil cute store where this super talented guy makes all these different rice paper lamps.

He even takes custom orders

and i got me this little cute one 

shape like a flower

But the best moment of the day 

was when we brought home this little guy

Because i have been wanting one for over a year!

I got tired of blowing money on 

cheap vacuums.

It seemed like we had no luck

And as sad as it sounds

i had a blast vacuuming last night 

Because it works like magic!!!!

Furniture hell

Thats our life lately. We cant find any furniture.

At least not what we are looking for!

So today, 

We are going out and about

in another attempt

to find Shelves for books and DVD's!

Hopefully when we get back tonight, 

we will have pics to post!

Fire Hazard!

This Morning, When Josh was getting ready for work, 

a really strong smell, woke me up.

It was like a mix of bad coffee and burned plastic

So i shouted from the bed, 

Josh, what are you making?

-Boiled eggs-He said

My brain inmediately sent a signal

recognizing the smell, as burned plastic!

The saucepan handle, i thought

He said he couldnt smell anything.

It was so bad, that after he left, i got up and sprayed the house down

and i could not go back to sleep!

Thank you Joshua, now i am even more paranoid about you burning the house down!

No longer allowed to cook without adult supervision!!!

Snowhite must go

Today i had a revelation while i was taking pics 

of myself, testing out my new camera, 

wich i must say, i need to study the instructions further!

I am freakishly white!!!

So i have to put a plan on action.

I started to use jergens self tanner.

I used it before and it works wonders!

I am gonna try to delay tanning as much as possible.

On another note, I went to the library today

and i had forgotten how much i love working there.

I had to do some medical research and i loved the atmosphere there

plus i had a huge table to myself.

So i am going back tomorrow .

Did i mention when i was in school in Salamanca, 

i cut school sometimes and i would go to the library there? lol 

Lately..

I have not been writing lately, 

I know! 

I am such a procrastinator sometimes!!
